Grandpa
Hi - Grandpa here. If you are marching next summer, please for a moment forget that I'm a grumpy old bugger who isn't into electronics, misses marching timp lines and marched snare with a sling and a leg-rest. I know I'm an out of touch dinosaur, but please just listen to me in this one thing - watch this video, and take care of yourself out there on the practice field this summer. With love Grandpa
Piper
Boy is that the eye opening truth. Very serious stuff and nothing to screw around with.
JimF-LowBari
Amen Grandpa.... and members, yeah some of us wish things were different in Drum Corps today. But what stays the same is caring about each other, be it members of our own corps or our biggest <insert swear words> rival. Enjoy, take care, and think of the future when you watch the vid....
MetalTones2012
I've had dozens of horrible sunburns from drum corps, some of which were so bad I couldn't even put a shirt on, so this is pretty much guaranteed for me if this video is real. Is there any way I can prepare?
Ghost
I've had dozens of horrible sunburns from drum corps, some of which were so bad I couldn't even put a shirt on, so this is pretty much guaranteed for me if this video is real. Is there any way I can prepare? Yes. Don't go shirtless when others do. Long white sleeve T's are even better, especially when wet. Sun block over 30/35 doesn't provide anymore protection, but use it daily! Wear wide brim hats. Again, forget what others say, but carry a small umbrella. Use it during what down time you may have. Maybe one of those umbrella hats will stay on, even during fast drill moves. Had this big golf one with me during a masters track meet this past June in Houston. Lost count of how many fellow athletes came over to talk for awhile. Complete strangers at first. Some fellow motorcycle riders who tavel during the heat of the Summer, especially in the southwest, swear by this company. http://www.ldcomfort.com/index.html Found out that the slight facial rosacea I have took many years to show itself. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosacea Then there's this one. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Melanoma So, you may be proud of your dark tan come August and look really cool on the DVD, but you might pay for it in the years ahead.
