MsBusDriver
What is exactly happening at the end of BD '88, never watched the show (amazing to listen to, though). It sounds like theres a fake ending, and then some great solos after the corps comes back in, and after the last sop bends his pitch to that last note, the bass drum starts tapping off almost right away.... One of my favorite BD shows. The corps ends the show (When a man loves a woman) and when they are marching off the field to the end zone, the soloists start playing, when they're done, the bass drums keep the beat goining. Geoff
My first ever brass instructor, Jamie Oatt, was one of those soloists. The 2nd to last player.
sburstall
Reading the greatest opener thread caused me to think about my all time favorite closer. For me it is (insert drum roll)1980 SCV - Evita BamRam Are you talking musically, visually or both?

ssorrell
Music of the Night SCV 1988 (the year they brought magic to the field) :) Getting into this discussion a little late... SCV did Magic before 88. They made a girl "levitate" in 87 (still trying to figure that one out). My favorite closer... Let it be Me, of course. Elsa runs a close second. LancerFi
They explain the girl levitating on another thread-she had a board under her dress-they then attached some kind of gear to it!
