Splooie99
It is so difficult to watch the tuba player go down. It reminded me of the Crown brass player that went down in Indy a few years ago. So difficult to watch from the sidelines.Hope they are OK.
OrlandoContraAlum
Was it '93 or '96 Finals that it absolutely poured rain on Scouts at Finals? I can't remember. Scouts ate it up and were fantastic. Seemed like they got stronger the harder it rained. 93, I remember them tearing it UP during Strawberry Soup

dsefton
[Thanks for the update. Such good news that he is well enough to stay on the tour..even if it takes more than a day before he goes back.
Marianne
Man I want to smack that judge for not waving someone on for help ..... he was out there for what seemed like FOREVER!!!!!! Poor guy I agree. And, even though it seems like he was out there forever, I looked at the time stamp, and he was out there for all of two minutes before someone ran out on the field to get him off. I was shocked it was only that amount of time. It felt like 10. You know, I raalize of course the show must go on. But isn't there a time when the kid's safety needs to be taken into consideration? He risked further injury as he struggled to get out of the way on his own. He risked further injury if he had gotten trampled by his own corps. And his corps mates risked injury to themselves if they had fallen over him. I'm not really sure what protocol could be followed though. I know that if I had been one of those guard members who got close to him, I'd have said, "screw the show, he needs help" and tossed down my flag for a few minutes and helped him off the field. But then, I'm the kind of person who just can't walk by someone who needs help like that. And honestly, if I was laying there on the field unable to move, I think I'd kinda hope my DM would have my back and stop the corps before they came that close to running me over. JMHO of course. kickhaltsforlife
Staff and judges should have helped the kid off the field. Or stop the show and restart it or something... I know in 08 in SA we had a guard member go down backfield, and another staff waiting in the tunnel saw it and ran out to help immediately. kickhaltsforlife
Now... how is Academy "comfortably" beating Crossmen in GE Music. Did they flip flop the music and visual scores?? Like really??? Not to be a knock on Academy. Academy does have them in a few captions I'd say, but NOT GE music... just my opinion.
DrumManTx
Pacific Crest has some really cool drill, I must say. I'd love to see them sneak up to 16th or 17th. :) Glad the contra guy sounds like he's doing okay, never should happen to anyone.

I'd say PC will stay in 17th, the question is 16th or as a longer shot, 15th. Drill wise, they have their moments but PC isn't making any significant moves unless they can shore up those GE, and Music scores.
