Hmmmm. How about the modern body suit, hoodie style. The hood becomes the cowboy hat with some strategically placed "wings" on the hood. The suit would be colored to include a mock scarf, gold buttons, and US belt buckle. Yea OK. I don't make my living off of uniform/costume design. LOL.

4 of the top 9 (and probably 2 of the top 3) are Blue. Seems like, instead of inserting a "The" in a corps name, some should consider inserting a Blue in their name somewhere. :)

What really sucks is how hot it's been in CO the last few days. Even last night on the news they were talking about it being another scorcher today. They should have realized there was a drum corps show in Denver.

There was only one rain out in 2012. I was just reflecting on my DATR experiences over the years on my FB timeline. It came to be we expected to get rained on at DATR. Probably a few delays over the years, but nothing drastic that I recall. I remember being sent under the stands onto the concourse during one of the DCI stints. That was the next most drastic besides the rainout. I heard the announcer telling folks to stay on the concourse, so they must have evacuated the stands due to the lightning.

Someone needs to teach those young men hosting FloMarching the American Flag Code. Just saying.

BD just told the other corps, "If you want the title, you're gonna have to take it from us. No way are we giving it away."

Can they dub in prelims for the mic, and have the rest of the corps' better finals run be on the dvd? Just wondering.

Flo had a few hiccups at the end. Had a repeate loop of the fire pit being opened. Guess they wanted to make sure she burned.

Through the years, you hear tales from rookies who finally make it into their dream corps, and the moment of truth, goose-bumpy moment when they get to put on "The Uniform" for the first time. I can imagine what it was like in Madison's uniform fitting room this year. "here, try this on." "what?"

Surf's prop with the stairs. It would be cool if they could rig it and suddenly have someone running up those steps. :) Or better yet, make like they are gonna run up the steps, then wave it off in a "nah, already been done" kinda blowoff gesture.

Nope. :) It was the final episode of MTM. The news staff was embraced in a circle saying goodbye. Someone said they should shut off the lights or something, so the entire circle sort of shuffle stepped over to the light switch. Then they shuffled (still embraced) over to something else. It was a comic ending to the show. ETA. Was responding to ajlemm. Can't seem to make the quote feature work either. Sorry!

Watching Tunnel Cam. Spirit's pit embraced in a circle. Brass came up and wanted to go by. So Spirit's pit had to do a "Mary Tyler Moore." Anyone old enough to know what I'm referring to?

Well, it was assumed that as long as you stayed logged into the Live Stream, you could go back and watch. Not so the case. Watching the Eastern Classic. I was about an hour behind, cause I had to pause the show for an hour while folks came and toured the house sis is selling. I was halfway into BD, had to pause again for a phoen call, and everything went black. Clicked "play" and got the beginning screen of "National Anthem at 6:30" but no way to get back to where I was. FF wouldn't work, trying to move the marker forward didn't work. So, I guess that means it stays available for about an hour after, then they pull the plug.

LOL. Well obviously 13 horns isn't gonna produce the sound of 60+. But you'd think there'd be microphones to hone in on the soloists at least.

Is it just me, or is the sound really weak? I can hear the announcer really well. Not so much the corps.
