gsksun4
Speaking of ettes, how about the ND-ettes from Bridgeport, CT. back in 63? Andy, know what the ND stood for? No history listed on CRep's. How about Les Sentinelles de Ville Jacques-Cartier from Montreal, QC. Imagine all that on a corps jacket? Northern Thunder
The Hormel Girls were known as the Spamettes. I have a pic of them in a parade from the early 50s I had the privilege of writing the chapter on the Hormel Girls for volume 2 of the Drum Corps World history books. I met many of the ladies who were in the corps in the 1940s.....the first women's senior corps to compete against (AND DEFEAT) the best drum corps had to offer. They made finals at the nationals they competed at too.
