I like Phantom because the drill fits the music right off the line to the end of the opener. Add the huge horn sound, the drill which features musicians marching instead of running, and a fantastic all-female guard which makes magnificent use of the human body as a mechanism to convey emotion on the football field. To me, this is a fantastic opener, the epitome of what drum corps should be, highlighted by the precision marching and beauty of the guard.

I completely agree - and the storybook opening drill move is a goosebump moment. Haunting, beautiful opening music statement as well.

I also really enjoy the openings of Vanguard, Bluecoats and Blue Knights shows!
