2013 Drum Corps International World Class Finals

They joked on the Prelims cinecast about the horn players who had to play while carrying the tree props. I'm sure those players aren't laughing.

The drill during this scherzo movement of the show is very angular and rigid, matching the mood of the music.

Great effect at the end of this movement with the guard holding the tree props and spreading their flags, also with trees on them, to create a forest effect midfield.

Nimrod. Time for our heroine to pull the sword from the stone.

Guard is now all dressed like Viking battle maidens. Horn line just formed a Celtic symbol on the field with the guard in the center.

The girl sitting next to me is bawling her eyes out right now.

Classic Jamey Thompson drill moment: Two block triangle formations collapsing to form a large one while the guard soloist runs forward to the front of the form to do her feature.

OK, heroine. You've found your inner knight. Now time to go and vanquish the evil queen.

The queen must have drank Red Bull because now she has wings.

Crowd applauded when the corps formed a Phantom chevron on the field, complete with classic PR kick halt. Meanwhile, the evil queen is dead and the corps is in a sword formation. Guard is in a block triangle which the sword is embedded in, almost as if our heroine has returned the sword to its stone now that her quest is over.
