HornTeacher
Yes, we're in this netherworld of Drum Corps Activity. The point at which our attention shifts from "Who is (was) better than who is (was) better than who in 2014 (Or 1973...or 1985....or 1998...or even 2005, for that matter), and why, and for what reason (or reasons,), was that Corps (or the other) better?" And despite the fact that sentence totally confused you (or me, or them, or those, or whoever...or even Stu or Garfield, who both appear well-informed and versified in the "business arts" and pertinent versification), it is still therefore valid. In that case, event, and any actuality... It is a very well-known and much-enjoyed parlor game which asks the question of its' participants "If you could have dinner with any 3 people from history, who would they be?" For the sake of off-season jocularity (as well as hopefully dousing the fires created through personal opinions and counter-opinions over the past few months), I am proposing the following question: "If you could sit with any 3 DCP posters over a fine dinner of Hungarian Goulash, Beer. and morally-correct Russian Escorts, who would they be (and why)?" (Please note that metal detectors and chemical-sniffing guard dogs would be employed and on the ready at the meeting place of choice -- most probably "Harry's House of Haute Cuisine" in Hackensack, New Jersey). Ghost
1) " Ghost".... I want to learn more about his motocycle I'm back in MA until Monday AM and my wife and daughters family left today for SIL's brothers wedding in MD and return Sunday evening. I'm baby sitting our two schnoodles. Big Bird is back in UT, but I'd be glad to break bread with you this weekend. Are you still in Brockton? As for the topic at hand and in no particular order; Mike Boo for his knowledge of the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly of Drum Corps; how drills are designed/taught has intrigued me for decades so Mike Gaines would fill that interest; and Mr. Brasso so I can learn how he researches all his responses, whether DC related or not, so quickly (do you really think he knows all about what he types? He hasn't been on Jepoardy I believe), and pick up some tips how he tactfully (usually) puts fellow DCP posters in their place. BRASSO
Mr. Brasso so I can learn how he researches all his responses, whether DC related or not, so quickly . I use a dozen little gnomes that scamper about my home library researching everything I need to properly prepare myself for the intellectual rigors of the week here on DCP, Ghost. BRASSO
You forgot that Brockton is home of the Brockton Rox of the independent league. Well, the invite is still on the table if you have time. Unfortunately, I am not entitled to a weekend furlough from prison this weekend as I used their library computers to beyond my alloted time. But though some might think me a tightwad grump, I do pitch in and help out various corps in fundraising, volunteering and stuff, and will return once again this year to drop some coin to help out Boston Jr's at their Spring Fling. Will you be going. ? I hope to be furloughed again this year for that gig, and hope to take my other inmates in tow to it again.
