Yeah, that's probably what it is...and if they REALLY wanted to be funny, they would have voted for them in the 5th, 6th and 7th place polls. That would have been a hoot!

2. 95.5 -- Hawthorne Caballeros

3. 95.0 -- Cadets2

4. 94.5 -- Minnesota Brass

As determined by throwing darts at a map (might as well have been; that's probably as accurate as most methods). Since MBI's only DCA scores came on Aug. 21-22, it's not even possible to tell how quickly they improved over the season. And of course there were no other Open Class corps at those shows, let alone any corps of similar caliber. Their most recent score of 91.0 could have been off by a couple points, or it could have been dead on. As we know from last year, a point's separation in Prelims can easily turn around in Finals (even without penalties).
