BRASSO
Velvet Knights...... Dinos here won't soon forget " The sex cymbals "... high top red sneakers, et al. Gave DCI what was really needed in its early years.... some desperately needed comic relief from all the other oh so serious Corps. And they were talented enough and " serious enough " of a Corps to make Finals on 8 separate occasions ( as high as 7th place in 1987 ) Edited November 11, 2015 by BRASSO

They added so much over the season as the corps was maximizing their fundamentals, that they could add the fun and it worked.
Jurassic Lancer
De La Salle Oaklands...... 1974 ( imagine a Corps winning Percussion in Prelims, but not making Top 12 Finals, despite this. ) Del made finals in 1974. Oakland Crusaders are the ones with theTom Float drum line that were tops in prelims while the corps came in 13th in 1977.
