N.E. Brigand
Are the Colombus Saints Open Class or Soundsport? If Soundsport, are they judged on the same sheets? The Saints are SoundSport and are judged on different sheets than Open or World Class. And the reason he asked is . . .
N.E. Brigand
Columbus Saints: 48.00 Genesis: 55.40 Legends: 54.70 Pioneer: 46.40 (not a full show) Troopers: 64.50 Blue Stars: 65.80 The Cavaliers: 71.10 It was Cincinnati Tradition, not Columbus Saints who got that score of 48.0. Saints are a Soundsport ensemble who performed in the parking lot before the show and also played the national anthem. Tradition was the first corps to perform in the competitive section of the evening; they are an all-age group whose season will conclude with the DCA championships in September. Also, all-age corps are supposed to be judged on different sheets than junior corps, so Tradition's 48.0 ought not to be compared to Pioneer's 46.4. And while Pioneer's show was apparently lacking its final movement, Tradition's was less than half-done! (I would guess, if their show were judged on regular DCI sheets, even if there were no timing penalty, it would score in the 30s.) Edited June 29, 2016 by N.E.
