Tim K
I have not heard all that much about CD's or BluRay/DVD's for this past season. I'm assuming they will not be ready before Christmas since we can't order yet, but has anyone heard anything about availability and when a release will happen? leed17
Just received my annual email confirming my DCI Friends membership - in the email it was stated: The 2016 Blu-Rays, DVD’s and CD’s should be ready to order around the middle of November, just in time for holiday gift giving.
Tim K
After turkey, pie, family and friends, I enjoy going home on Thanksgiving and watch finals, so mid November works for me.

Wow! After the copyright debacle with last year's DVDs, they're planning on releasing the 2016 one(s) next month? Would be great if they did!Any word on whether they'll get back to making DVDs of the World Class non-Finalists and/or the Open Class corps? There were once again a lot of great non-Finalist shows in 2016 that I would love to see again. Also, does anyone know about songs/samples that could possibly be cut from the recordings? FaustianMachine
Also, does anyone know about songs/samples that could possibly be cut from the recordings? Off the top of my head, the only thing that I could see getting cut is what little sampling of "Where Are Ü Now?" that BD did, just because I'm not sure how strict JB's licensing is. Liahona
After turkey, pie, family and friends, I enjoy going home on Thanksgiving and watch finals, so mid November works for me. I miss the old days of watching drum corps on thanksgiving day on the PBS broadcast when I was a teenager...that was my very first exposure to the activity...oh so many moons ago...BUT back then I had not seen any shows from the summer season..let alone watching finals already.... The email said that they would go on sale in mid-November...not sure if that means we wait another month until Christmas for delivery, or they are actually physically available mid November. I don't think they are doing a 13-25 or Open Class DVD - but I have not heard either way. I would be surprised if they were doing one though... As far as cuts/edits, I do see that the Academy performance on the On-Demand videos on DCI's website has the opening narration cut...that narration may not see the bluray or DVD either. Don't know about anything else.
leed17
Also noticed Troopers have been posted On-Demand now, but "Fix You" by Coldplay is edited out of the show - at least on the Allentown version I just watched. 'Shame, that was a great part of that show.
