Former Blue Stars Director Named Stanford University Marching Band Director

Recommended Posts

You may recall Stanford's recent upsetment involved either Iowa or Iowa State for whom Stanford saluted by playing the theme song music of  the oft televised dating site, FarmersOnly.com . Solution is to bring in a corps director from Wisconsin who already knows about Tresona.

If he succeeds there, then onto Yale and Princeton next. Their "bands" are of the same ilk.

Ironically, many of the liberal fancy pants colleges started out as " Bible thumpers " as you call them. Harvard Univ. for example, as many here I'm sure recall from their history classes, was started as a University to prepare and educate future Church Ministers,Deacons and especially Pastors.  And for over a century, thats precisely what Harvard University produced primarily.

Ditto to Yale, whose original library were theology and other books from the local ministers of Branford, Guilford, and Madison, CT. Duke was a Methodist Seminary although they named their team after the devil.. I believe Princeton was a seminary as well. All 3 still have Divinity Schools of merit. The Demon Deacons of Wake Forest wasn't an ag. school.

Baylor? Squeaky-clean? Hardly. You clearly haven't been following the news...

Though to be fair, those issues didn't seem to be prevalent in the music department.

You clearly think I was being serious.
