Drums Across the Smokies - Knoxville, TN - July 19

Legends

BIG brass sound!  Great bari solo on Sound of Silence.  Huge ending!

Lots of nice guard moments that fit perfectly with the music.

Highlight:  Huge brass hit, then dead silence with guard rifles in the air.  Everyone glued to the spinning weapons. And then -- SNAP -- unison catch!

@Trumpet2  Where are you seated?  I'm on the 50 about 6 rows down from the press box.

20 closest to the parking lot. Lots of high school aged girls talking about what the guard just did and how awesome it was etc

Music City:

Powerful and, yes, angry music played with passion.  Beautiful flugel solo during the ballad played into a mic with a touch of reverb -- nice!!!

Music City contra wins pedal note of the evening.

Highlight (among many):  Massed unison guard work with those skinny blade things.

Well deserved standing O.

While I'll be here for scores, short term memory loss will make me an unreliable source.  Get 'em from DrumScorps or CorpsScores.
