kevingamin
Nice work by the guard on flags during Paparazzi, and the horns kind of just did their own Z pull during the ballad.
kevingamin
And, yes, you have to play Paparazzi in a show titled Paparazzi. I don’t make the rules.
kevingamin
The guard changes into more formal wear as a red carpet is rolled out fro the Romanesque building prop back field.
BeinGreen
photos of Saints are great! hope they can grow but even so, they are something nobody else is and it is laudable!
kevingamin
The tubas are BEASTS in the horn line. They are laying down an incredible bass line for the rest of the corps to sit on.
kevingamin
The horns just did a Diamond Cutter!
kevingamin
Govies still doing the crab step in the horn line when marching across the field. I think more groups should do that.

kevingamin
Next on the field in DCA Class A competition is the New York Skyliners from Binghamton, New York. Their 2023 program is entitled “The Power of Three”. Musical selections include “Swirling Prisms” by Brian Balmages, Saint-Saens’ “Danse Bacchanale”, “Deus Ex Machina” by Randall Standridge, “August Rhapsody” by Mark Mancina, and Steven Reineke’s “Fate of the Gods”. kevingamin
Very mysterious opening to the show, starting with a trumpet soloist who is then joined by a mellophone and baritone player to make it a trio. The rest of the corps performs backfield, building to the first hit when they turn forward and hit us with the Danse Bacchanale.
