GmenBari78
Guardsmen OK, but only if we eliminate the tall shakoes!
JoeW
anyone know of a good year of the legacy dvd to see the most of these dead corps?
StarContra4-85
I'd say 1980 is among the best of the years with several of their best performances 27, Bridgemen, Guardsmen, etc...

Ex VK DM
Freelancers! I know that they are always promising a return, but I want them back with the rest of your list. Yes unlike most of the "dead" corps out there, The Freelancers still have their non-profit status and have a winter drumline. Which is closest to anyone to putting a corps back on the field. ravedodger
82 thru 84 is best for the Freelancers. Strange fact: From the top 12 of 1983, only 7 are currently active. Those who have gone under: SunCoast Sound Freelancers 27th Lancers Bridgemen SkyRiders Another strange fact: 1983 was the last year the Freelancers beat the Cavaliers. Last strange fact: 1984 was the first year the Velvet Knights made finals. Edited October 14, 2003 by ravedodger
CSGreen
While I would love to see all these corps back, I would much rather see corps come back in areas that currently don't have one 12th Command (MI) Expressions (LA) Memorial Lancers (MO) North Force (ND) Railmen (NE) Sky Ryders (KS) St Paul Scouts (MN) And any Canadian Corps, from any province! and etc... etc... etc
StarContra4-85
Last strange fact:1984 was the first year the Velvet Knights made finals. Velvet Knights were 11th in 1985 and if memory serves me correctly still made finals in '86.
