secarizona
I want: Jim Ott's Spirit of Atlanta back Bayonne Bridgemen Skyriders Freelancers 27th Mauraders Renaissance VK Blue Stars back in DIV I and in finals again Guardsman cause I love to hate them, even though Tiger of San Pedro was a great tune. Tansea
For what it's worth: Stockton commodores Blue Rock (when they would walk on and off in that tight block) Blessed Sac(the bass line especially) St. Joes (Big Spender still gives me chills) Argonne Rebels (Sandra Opie - sigh) Anaheim Kingsmen 27th (I can't believe they are gone) Muchacos VK Bonnie Ott solos (had to throw that in there) There have to be more, I'll get back to this. bbass74
Here's my pick: Bridgemen Velvet Knights Suncoast Sound Star of Indiana
bbass74
oh man....i'd give a lot to see and hear suncoast on the field one more time.... :( <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I marched the last year they were Div I and the first year they were Div III, I miss them too. I started to march the 94 season (their last year at finals) but life circumstances got in the way but I miss it. I wish there was a good (emphasis on "good") senior corps around here but it would never be like it was so I think I'll just hold onto those years and not try to re-create them. Just my 2 cents. BD2Rings
Oh, I think all of these have been named by others above, but just to get my 2 cents in: 2-7 This still pains me today Bridgemen Let's hear it for the Banana Shuffle Muchachoes I saw and heard the show in '74, but can't remember '75. VK - For all sorts of reasons - just have fun Freelancers - Bellavia, need I say more? Commodores - What wonderful memories Argonne Rebels - Sandra Opie anyone? Never met the lady, but...... Anaheim Kingsmen - no definition/description necessary. Blue Rock - Yes the entry block Purple Lancers - Oakland Crusaders Belleville Black Knights Kilties junior corps Blue Stars and Trooper - both Div 1 finalists Spirit (the Atlanta version) DeLaSalle Oaklands Royal Crusaders Seneca Optimist Polish Falcon Cadets Squires Precisionaires North Star Offensive Lions This is a list of 24 corps, all of which placed somewhere in the top 15 between '72 and '79 at DCI prelims. Bring back this list and maybe people will begin to understand the importance of being in the top 25. This list is just a fraction of all the corps lost. Oh, what it would be like to be competing against this list again. Edited July 26, 2004 by BD2Rings

yamanok
We need Suncoast Sound the Racine Kilties (juniors) and any other corps ie: VK that doesn't come from the Cesario "cookie cutter" school of uniform design.
