gumby5647
Just curious if anyone has heard anything about the size of the lines this year. Only thing that i have seen so far is Blue Stars: 8 snares (oh my god that felt good to say!) 5 basses, and i think i saw 4 tenors. (could be 5 though) anyone? gumby5647
word from Crown is a 5-9-5 sized line.
drumholio
also, I remember seeing on dci.org a pic of crown's snareline from 2003. The caption at the bottom mentioned that all of them would be back for 2004 except for 2. So they have a vet heavy snareline.
john powers
Cadets are starting out like they've done the past couple of years 10-6-
drumholio
I just found out that Blue Devils will be marching 8,4, and 5 this year. I am not sure about how many vets are in the snare line, but I know that the 4 tenor players are the same 4 that they marched in 2003. machinesnare
I heard all eight are vets at devs, and that one of the quadz might be new, beating a vet out for a spot. As far as the LBS, thanks for the mention! We're actually going 7-4-5, with 5 snare vets.

Actually... both of you guys heard some wrong things. - Yes, the line size is 8-4-5 - There are 7 vets in the snare line, 1 new rookie - There are 3 Tenor vets, the guy on the end next to Tim Jackson did not come back this year (for unknown reasons) and a rookie took that spot. - In the bassline, there are 3 vets (bass 4, Marco, Marched bass 4 in 2001, but took 2 years off, and is returning this year). And the bottom bass from last year (Phil) decided not to come back for personal reasons, this would have been his age-out year. Hope this helps to clear a few things up... And also... make sure to watch out for us this year. We will not aim to dissapoint
machinesnare
Thanks for clearin' it up! Unfortunately, I won't get to see you, due to the wonderful schedule that we have now. But, I'll be sure to check out the tapes.

percussiveone
We haven't set an exact number yet, but Teal Sound is looking to go 6 or 7 snares, 4 tenors, 6 basses - the bass number is a definite.
