I mean I am all for 6 basses, I marched 6 in HS... I am just wondering why the reason :P

I mean I am all for 6 basses, I marched 6 in HS... I am just wondering why the reason :P yeah, basically we have a lot of talent.... i've always been a 5 bass kinda person myself, but we have a good audition group this year... and we want to give all of them a chance to march. Also, I forgot to mention - we have also formed a cymbal line, with 4 of those - so the numbers for Teal Sound stands - 6-7 snares 3- 4 tenors 5-6 basses ( the "definite" 6 went back to a "possibilty" of 6) 4 plates 9 pit the line is going to be set at next camp, Feb 13. we are still looking for some mallet players, however. we also expect to lose probably at the most 4 total spots before our tour starts - so we are playing it safe with big numbers. If everybody stays, great! If we lose a few, we are prepared.
Gbassman5
5-6 basses ( the "definite" 6 went back to a "possibilty" of 6)4 plates why not cut the "6th" bass and march 5 plates, instead????????????
machinesnare
Plates rock. I have a lot of fun in my plateline. I wish it wasn't considered "cut" to plates, but, such is life.

oldbandguy
Anyone heard what the line at Madison will be like? I'm curious to see what the new drum staff has in mind.
