84BDsop
It could be argued that the sop player from Alliance last season would win this discussion, since she was the ENTIRE sop section!!
JimF-LowBari
Yankee-Rebels in 74/75 had Purlie(?) for a concert number. First part of the song was only one sop playing. Then he did the solo with the rest of the corps filling in for the first 1/3 to 1/2 of the song.
TheMoonlightChef
Hay man...can't ever go wrong with Barbara Maroney!!!!Dude from Glassmen had God-like control, tho!!! I think his name was Kevin Creasey? That was a beautiful Flugel solo in 2001. He carried the whole 2nd tune.
KungFuCharlie
The sop soloist in 1980 North Star. It's like he didn't even march half the show.
alto92
it might not be the longest in terms of time, but i'd say for the soloist - '89 blue devs.

strutta
The sop soloist in 1980 North Star. It's like he didn't even march half the show. That was Gerry Noonan who played the solo in 'Ole' in 78, 79 and 80. It was a true solo with no other accompaniment from the corps and it was long... socalcontra
I think I'd look at the soprano solo in the 27th Lancers from '84. He played about 2 verses of Yentl by himself.
