some old corps photos

Those snare shells with the Maltese Cross was painted by one of the hornline members. He was very talented and even designed some of our T-Shirts that year.

Would that be Mark Avila?

He marched in BD 82 and designed a couple of our t-shirts as well. I'm pretty sure he marched Crossmen prior to Blue Devils.

Wonderful pix of the Bones crew! They were the new kids (along with Spirit) when I marched. I much admired Crossmen's shows. Russian Christmas Music and the capes!! Ralph Pace abandoning us!! LOL, just kidding. I've always been a fan!

Yes, looking in my 1980 year book and it says, Mark Aviles from Kings Park, NY.

I knew a bunch went to BD during '81-82 but I had no idea Mark went too.

I believe the two missing snares are, Jed Davis and John Doudoukjan alias Wilber. :P

Yes, I think that is Jed Davis, but the other guy is not John. Never heard that name.

I think his name is Rob something.

Maybe he was a base drummer......he was from SC....had a thick Southern accent.
