cabalumnidrummer
Nice color pictures of the Marquis in post # 19311, but unfortunately they are backwards - the original negative or slide was flipped. American flag is on the wrong side, and the snare drums tilt the wrong way. Also, the contras are on the wrong shoulder in the second photo. Something did feel 'odd' about them but I couldn't place it. Fixing that (and thank you!). edit: Fixed. The contra should have been the tip for me, obviously I missed it. cabalumnidrummer
Glad to help. The snare drum angles were my first tipoff, being a drummer myself. Then I noticed the American flag, and knew for sure.
victorcoly
1977 Kilties Kind of sad that these kinds of crowds don't show up for DCI finals anymore. I only go back to the late 70's through late 80's. but average crowds used to hover between 32,000 to 40,000 people through about 1990. Legolaus
1977 27th Lancers trumpsops and barieuphs ;-) I loved these Olds sopranos. They were great to play on, open sound and the chrome plating was indestructible!
Opti-Burr
I loved these Olds sopranos. They were great to play on, open sound and the chrome plating was indestructible! It's too bad that Drum & Bugle Corps no longer use bugles . I quess it's just another step forward towards being just "bands".

And a place like the tiny town of Horicon would host a show!
