Who will be the next to put the Pitt on the feild?

Recommended Posts

The last two stadiums that have hosted Nats have not been supportive of having the Pit on the field. As a matter of fact, one corps was asked to change the placement of their Pit after they had their show on the field, due to the (perceived) damage that might be caused by wheels and such. Luckily, an accomodation was made and the corps did not have to rewrite.

Troopers did this in 92.

They had two platforms, one on each side of the 50, around the 35-40 or so.

I don't understnad. What does eliminating the cymbal line have to do w/ the lack of impact at a tonal center.

To me, it sounds goofy to have a musical impact where the drill is centered on, say, the 30 yard line midfield, and have all the metallics on the sideline. It's not too noticible when sitting on the 50 upstairs, but sitting close it always bugs me.

I think cymbals on the field sound better.
