Or how about Phantom of the Opera or New World Symphony??? :)

Dunno.

No one's done "Phantom" in DCI since SCV, although every marching band in the world has done it since. Same for "New World", although the Glassmen made it interesting this past year.

Maybe I should change it to "Favorite High School Marching Band Cliche Show" :P

One thing I always found funny was on the LP's the marching band arrangers (Jenson, Hal Leonard, etc) would send out, there was always a generic version "in the style of" if your band couldn't hack the standard hosed down corps chart they had on there. I think the one for "Malaguena" was called "Topaz". Wow, was it bad. :P

Do they even still do those marching band recordings now?

I used to like to hear the on-the-field versions they had...'bout the time I graduated high school they had switched to studio musicians.

Yes, I am a marching band geek. B)
