Blackstar
I love these questions because you ask for ONE and people give you three. It's gonna be "I would choose 72 Purple Lancers but I would sneak 84 Simplex Minutemen" FOR THE LOVE OF GOD ONLY PICK ONE. Mine is ummmm, lets see, it would be, I'm thinking, 84 Cadets.....or 79 Vanguard ..maybe 82 Blue Devils. Oh heck I'm not taking nothing because I can't choose just one :P

barritoneman79-83
I would definately have to go with 1982 Blue Devils. 1st corps in the history of the activity to go UNDEFEATED in every event entered. T.O. was an awesome high energy opener showing the talent of the horn line. Pegasus was lush smoothly flowing and beautiful. Paradox was unbelievable... That accelerando was amazing. One More Time Chuck Corea was the very best version of that song ever. (except in '83 where I got to replace one of the soprano soloists with my baritone solo) People Alone was one of the best songs I've ever played. The lower brass parts were rich and full. No, they're the first corps in DCI to go undefeated. 1961 Cavaliers, for example, went undefeated.
shawn craig
Four Corners. . . because it's my favorite. Great choice! not too many people choose that one. But I would have to go with Phantom 82!

The first DCI Jr. corps to go UNDEFEATED!!!!!!!!!!!!! Not all that common an occurance since you did go back to 1961 to find someone!!!!! I still stand with my choice of 82 BD
Tony L.
Garfield 1987. It's the reason why I first fell in love with drum corps. For me, it is still the epitome of music and visual combined to perfection.
