tommytimp
Didn't Oakland Crusaders win drums in prelims one year, but not even make finals? Was it 1977? 1978? 19 hundred and 77. That drum book was just chock-full of Exposure to Error points.
NR_Ohiobando
Crossmen's drumlines came to my mind first...of course they never won the caption. (Consults DVD's recaps) They came in 4th place twice though. Other than that, I'd say Bridgemen would be the obvious choice. If you count Phantom Regiment's shows up to 1996, Cavaliers' up to 1992 (ect...) I guess that'd work too.
cool hand luke
How about this: Has any corps won DCI without winning a single high caption award? I know Santa Clara captured a VFW title that way back in 1971. (Sorry I now see this was in another thread) Edited May 13, 2006 by cool hand luke
