markdewine
Back in the early DCI days, didn't the First Federal Blue Stars win a brass execution caption? Not sure...that was a long time ago. B)

nhsalan
I think it's even cooler when a corps who finishes 10th or 11th actually has a hornline or drumline or color guard that deserves to win their caption. Because in the last 20 years, I'm sure I haven't seen one. Okay, since it's 19 years since the 1987 Spirit guard won that caption trophy, and this was in reply to that note, it seems you think someone else deserved the title in 1987 ? Just curious if that was a specific slam or you were making a GENERALIZED statement about the years since that time. AA
rut-roh
Generalized. I enjoyed those Spirit guards and they were certainly deserving. But again, that's nearly 20 years ago, so I'll stand behind my statement.

Jared_mello
BD '91, brass. First one I thought of. Cadets in the '00's, with their drumlines.
