Back in the early DCI days, didn't the First Federal Blue Stars win a brass execution caption? Not sure...that was a long time ago. B)

Didn't Oakland Crusaders win drums in prelims one year, but not even make finals? Was it 1977? 1978?

you graduted HS in 1980 and still marched in Junior corps till 1985? hmmmm make you wonder huh?? :P

he probably means the 1980 marching season which is in the fall, so he would have graduated in spring 1981.

I think it's even cooler when a corps who finishes 10th or 11th actually has a hornline or drumline or color guard that deserves to win their caption. Because in the last 20 years, I'm sure I haven't seen one.

Okay, since it's 19 years since the 1987 Spirit guard won that caption trophy, and this was in reply to that note, it seems you think someone else deserved the title in 1987 ? Just curious if that was a specific slam or you were making a GENERALIZED statement about the years since that time.
