sobe
Okay, I was at their Memorial Day rehearsal for a while in Gilroy. I only caught their first 2 numbers. Here's an edited piece of what I've written to some fellow alums: "Their drill is excellent, and they sound great when they're all standing still. Lots of cleaning to do as they prepare for the season. But all in all, they're on the right track." And yes, they're keeping their tunics from last year and bringing back the darker green pants from previous years. And yes, Key Poulan is writing all original music for the hornline. How do these other wierd rumors start? Sheesh! Green pants + the red tunics from 05, should be interesting :) TY PeeWee! I'm awaiting my April and Memorial Weekend SCV Podcasts... JimmySCV
Looks like the video is up on the website now, although it doesn't show up in the podcast list yet. 30 minutes and 60+MB worth (hi-res version) of download will keep me busy for a while, but looking forward to it. vanguard87
My bias is obvious, but.... Whoooo hooo!!! Book and drill: Awwww yeahhhh. Obviously, there are TQ&I problems, but I'm willing to attribute that to fried end-of-camp chops. It'd be nice to have more low brass punch, too. Other than that, a promising start.
