Roark1
Well, since it is the first week of the season, and we have already seen enough to be certain of how things will play out from here on out, here is my prediction for the rest of the year: Next week, the newly re-constituted Madison Jr. Scouts make a surprise return to Drum Corps. The Jr. Scouts’ new show, entitled “Marching to the Beat of a Different Drummer” will feature a pit and marching battery only, thereby putting the DRUM in DRUM corps. With drill work designed by Myron Zingali, the Jr. Scouts will pull off the first ever “Double M Pull” seen in competition. Their meteoric rise will culminate with them winning DCI with a score of 110 (ten extra points added because the finish on their drums is just soooo cooool). This will, of course change drum corps for ever, with some people liking the new direction (mostly drummers) and some people not (most horn players and guard). After their successful season finale, the Jr. Scouts will once again disappear from the Drum Corps scene, with a long and profitable run of their show on Broadway. Note: For the humor challenged, this is mean as humor. Whether or not it’s funny, well that’s a matter for debate.

Back in the day, that sorta kinda happened; Madison was involved; and the result was 27th Lancers (to bring the Zingalli (sp?) reference full circle True story I'll elaborate at a future time - lets see who (other than 27 alums) take a hack at this
