SFsmack
I have noticed recently that I am unable to view the DCP website about half the time when I try to click on to see scores and reviews. I was not able to sign onto DCP at all yesterday, but this evening it seems to be working fine. So I think it's a day to day deal. Anyone else have the same problem? Any suggestions? JohnZ
yes, constantly. I've already asked for assistance in the customer service area HERE, waiting for a response.
bawker
I have that problem at home intermittently, I think it has to do with the DNS servers of some ISPs not recognizing DCP's new address since they "moved" a while back. Give your ISP a call and tell them the issue...and see if one of the mods, or JohnD, can give you more info concerning this. Or...if you want to fix it yourself, you can go into TCP/IP settings and set up a DNS server to use.

But what I don't get is I had the problem back in May when DCP moved, it disappeared for a month, and now it is back. Nothing obvious has changed here. SFsmack, I would move your question over to the customer service forum - but while we are here, who do you get your internet access from? bawker
Argh! This is way too complicated and lame! http://www.mediacollege.com/computer/network/dns.html Dial-up Go to My Computer>Dialup Networking. Right-click your internet connection and select Properties. A window will open - click the Server Types tab. Click TCP/IP Settings. LANs (Cable modems, etc) Go to Control Panel>Network Connections and select your local network. Click Properties, then select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP). Click Properties. Here's how to set it up...to get your IP address/mask/gatweway....go to Start>Programs>Accessories>Command Prompt ...and type ipconfig. Plug that into the first three set of numbers that you see below... http://www.speedguide.net/faq_in_q.php?cat...=88&qid=128 has some public DNS servers 199.166.28.10 (PS0.NS2.VRX.NET) - Atlanta, Ga 199.166.29.3 (nl.public.rootfix.net) - Nederlands 199.166.31.3 (NS1.QUASAR.NET) - Orlando, FL, USA 204.57.55.100 (NS1.JERKY.NET) - Boston, MA, USA 199.5.157.128 (ASLAN.OPEN-RSC.ORG) - Detroit, MI, USA Next...try these public DNS servers for the bottom two numbers. Put in a different one in each spot. JohnD and the DCP crew might have others you can use. Hopefully that helps. PM me if it doesn't. :) Edited June 29, 2006 by bawker

wolfgang
I have had this same problem for almost a month. Maybe once a week (tonight!) I am able to get on to dcp, otherwise I can't. One other problem is that I've sent a couple emails to the dcp support email and both came back as undeliverable.
tubacurt
yea, i have this problem all the time, I don't know the fancy isp way of solving it like bawker, but usually if i google it and click the link it works, and if that fails I close the browser and reopen and that usually works too. If both those fail I just wait a little and see if it works in about 15 minutes.

So what I'm gathering is that DCP has nothing to do with this....or cannot fix this problem? You know... soundmachine never had this issue!!!! :P Anyone have any other suggestions?
