Average Tour Fees

Recommended Posts

Just curious, but...

When I marched, my tour fees almost doubled over five years (98, 99-02), from about $400 to almost $800.

So, I was just wondering what the average costs were across the board or from corps to corps.

I DO know that if it weren't for:

1. Fund-raisers

2. Local Support

and

3. Souvies

:I wouldn't have been able to march and experience the things I did.

Which begs the question: What is the going rate for the experience of a lifetime?

("For the memory of a lifetime, Recall, Recall, Recall...."

- who remembers this movie? what was the author's name and the name of the short story that the movie was based upon?)

Tour fees: $1800.

Audition fee: $75

Camp fees: $200

Shoes/gloves: $20

Transportation: $600

Corps Jacket: $100

Spending Money: $300

Sleeping on gym floors, eating from a truck, rehearsing all day every day and living out of a bus while making lifelong friends and having the experience of a lifetime: PRICELESS :)

It's different for every corps though, I know Cavaliers only charges $1500 for the summer. But still...

I'm pretty sure that's around what I paid. That doesn't include the camp fees which I think were around $20 or so.
