Robbie Ellis
I am positive Archie never wore white tunics. In 1984 they changed their uniform to a white blouse under a red vest with a sash. Before 1984, they wore the red maternity tops. Other than the Raiders/Musketeers combined corps, the tunics were always red.
K2SMA
It's definitely not Archer Epler Musketeers. I'm not sure that the corps labeled as the Keystoners is correct, either. I believe (subject to being corrected) that Milton's uniforms were more predominantly pink than shown in this photo. My DCA program book from '84 is still packed away somewhere (perhaps in the blithle zone...)
old ohio drum corps
I've gone back to the 1984 files for pictures of the corps at the DCA in Allentown PA. I used the yellow banner in the background as a reference. I have no files for Musketeers, L'Odysee, Westshoremen and Thunderbirds. (in and out of the stadium, all day) The file for the keystoners, had the above shown photo's in it.. I know the unknown corps is not the Musketeers or Westshoremen. The Thunderbirds had green in the uniforms, and i have a picture of the Keystoners from 1985 in pink uniforms. Friends in Montreal didn't know who the unknown corps was, but maybe it L'Odysee ??????? JimF-LowBari
1984 Westshoremen went into rebuild mode (again) and only showed up for Prelims. Uniform was the black with blue trim with white Aussies used from 1979 until at least 1985. (Aussies from 1980 to ???). No idea on the pic but corps looks really small..... General Butler Vagabonds???? PS - Here's non top 10 at Prelims, maybe the names will help 11 Empire Statesmen 69.55 12 Rochester Crusaers 66.70 13 L'Odysee 65.95 14 Guelph Royalaires 64.20 15 Westshoremen 61.60 16 General Butler Vagabonds 58.00 17 Spirit of '76 53.95 18 Erie Thunderbirds 52.90 19 Keystoners 42.55 Psst - Anyone have a pic of Westshores 84-85 Main Guard??? If so I might be in it. Edited August 14, 2006 by JimF-xWSMBari
