RUFreak
proof? In due time... should be sometime today actually. And if someone has enough money to BUY the Crossmen, don't you think that the corps will be better off financially then they are now under the YEA umbrella? So the Cadets get new busses, or uniforms, or eat lobster every night. Does it really matter? Things will be better for both parties. But I've seen it happen, not with corps, but other things. Like marinas and such.
Kamarag
You're all wrong. I have it on good authority that Crossmen are only moving to downtown Philly and will become the world's loudest string band. It's almost that time of year you know, go Mummers! DrumCorpsRadio
George Hopkins stated numerous times in his blog that the Crossmen are a losing proposition financially. When did they join YEA? After the '97 season or so, I think. If they are still losing money now, 9 seasons later, then perhaps a change in management should be seen as deserved. Even if the corps is given to a new administrative team and not sold, that would free up a significant amount of money for YEA to put into The Cadets and the suggested expansion of USSBA (see older Hop blogs) or other new projects. I'm not saying any of this makes me happy. As an alumnus of Crossmen, I'd rather them continue to be close by geographically.
