zarblap
Rick Wakeman's Journey to the center of the earth would make a great show for someone, lots of good stuff in there to pick from. Yes, close to the edge. Brahams, how lovely is thy dwelling place.
Sayre Kulp
Hmmm... Brahms and Drum Corps. Not sure I see that, but I know the piece and it could work quite well as a brass chorale warm-up or something.
Skylinersop16
Dreamgirls because of the movie opening up in December The Signature - it's time to get back to our roots Any of the less mentioned songs from our past can still work with today's demands: Carnival, Big Noise from Winnetka, Rainmaker, Copacabana, Aquarius, the list is endless, just from our own past repertoire and even more recent songs like Moondance, Big Time, God Bless the Child. Jeff Ream
Dreamgirls definitely......what a version Sky had in the 80's. Elks, Slaughter etc are great tunes, but i'm not sure how to arrange them to work for today's type of shows. if you can do it, I bow to you....esp. if the snares play the singles in Elks as clean as the alumni does. whatever you pick, think of Ron Allard's sig....that Skyliner sound. find that, and the rest will follow

Skylinersop16
Dreamgirls definitely......what a version Sky had in the 80's. I don't think it would be the same if it weren't Hy's version
Jeff Ream
doesn't have to be the same. it can be good and yet be different.
Brassman53
How about music from "Saturday Night Fever"? There's lots of "New York" style material there. RCC
