cabalumnidrummer
Caballeros Carnegie Hall Concert 18 May from the 5 June 1963 DCN. From Duane C. Bobby Hoffman on timbales, far left, Bob Dubovik on bongos, Harry Hazelwood in the center with the glasses. Three years later I joined and got to play in line with these guys, and those were the bongos I used after Bob D. left. Great memories. Ray Priester
Skyliners Carnegie Hall 18 May from the 5 June 1963 DCN. From Duane C. The late Bob Bellarosa is the third french horn from the right. RIP Bobby. Lots of great talent in the corps that year. 4 years later and I would be with them too.
Ray Priester
Flying Dutchmen Kitchener Waterloo ON from the 1963 CDCC. From Christine E. Looks like they were still using the small bell baris along with sops and frenchies. I can't see any bass baris there. Either they were playing their closing fanfare at the finish line or the negative is reversed. Looks like they have their left thumbs on the piston, so it's reversed, n'est ce pas? I'm guessing the negative is reversed... if they had crossed the finish line why is the M&M#2 judge looking so closely... so my guess is he's actually the M&M#1 judge with the picture reversed... Look at the writing on the first banner - it's reversed for sure Edited October 29, 2011 by TomPeashey
cabalumnidrummer
. . . Looks like they have their left thumbs on the piston, so it's reversed,n' est ce pas? I just love it when you use French, Ray!
lindap
I just love it when you use French, Ray! Moi aussi With due respect to GrewvyG2, I took the liberty of flipping the photo. I had a little practice; of the 675 photos of Alberta All Girls from 1970-1974 on a CD, I’ve flipped 50 photos so far. I remember K-W Flying Dutchmen Junior corps in the early 70’s. It’s nice to see photos of the Senior corps in the 60’s. Thanks.
