It's not my "favorite" Cadet show, but I think it's probably their most intricate and well-performed. They owned that program. Wish the closer kept the energy it had after forming the star around the door instead of puttering out.

This show was very entertaining, innovative, and just amazing. It was musically astounding with the great arrangements and charts, especially "Liquid". The concept of the show was very intriguing and it worked very well. The color guard invoked the emotion that the brass was pouring out. It was overall one of the best shows of Drum Corps History....PERIOD. Cadets 2006 tried too hard to imitate the perfection of 2005 and add too much that this activity could not handle, at least not yet anyway....2007 should be highly fan-oriented and friendly, but probably not as complex as previous years....we'll see what happens....

Gee, here's a new topic. 2005 Cadets didn't generate much conversation that entire summer.

Worst color guard integration of a DCI World Champion in the last fifteen years. Other than that, it was OK.

i have argued this on here before...the guard integration (or lack thereof) was a well-thought out design choice by the staff. saying it was the "worst color guard integration" just seems weird because they intentionally did it differently than others had.

now if you look at what the colorguard is doing in relation to the music/storyline...it's one of the most musical and story-supported colorguards in a long time

now back to the OP...obviously what i've already written reflects my thoughts on cadets 2005.

love it

When I saw that show for the first time in early june (I believe in Ft. Mill, SC). I thought that they show concept was fantastic, but was unbelievably dirty. Once they got that performance down, it was a fantastic show.

Maybe a little overscored at finals, but it is placement that really matters, right? At least competitivly, that whats matters.

I'm aware of that. Doesn't change the way I feel about it. I thought it was a poor choice because it created problems for me as a viewer --many of the same multi-focus problems (though not to the same degree) as the 2006 show. In that regard, I believe it was the worst color guard integration of any DCI champion in the last fifiteen years. Regardless of whether it was done purposefully or not, I prefer more integration than that, and have come to expect much more from Jeff and the Cadets. Good show, but I'll never place it amongst my favorites. Sorry.
