DCI Album/CD artwork?

Recommended Posts

Just curious, does anyone have the original album artwork for DCI albums or cds from say 1972 to present? When DCI did their legacy collection they did a generic artwork for their covers. I remember in 1989 the cover was a sweet cover of Phantom of the Opera.

If you have some photos or scans I would love to see them!

I have 88, 84, and 79 but they are on vinyl and won't fit on my scanner and I have the special 20 year edition of 92 that came with a book so I do not know if it is the original art work from that year.

Minor annoyance - take a look at the 1996 and 1998 covers.

Lame! The pictures are reversed! Traditional grip isn't with the right hand!

Actually funny story: I heard of some kid who saw those pictures and taught himself traditional grip, only to later be told it was with the LEFT HAND! :P

Then he learned the reverse traditional grip (which is legit).

While we're on the topic, is anyone able to scan the covers for the discs:

Cavaliers - Shifting Gears

Cavaliers - Those Championship Seasons (post 2002 but pre 2004)

Blue Devils - Championship Years (post 1997 but pre 1999)

I'm still a fan of the 1997 artwork... my favorite Championships artwork to date.

you know everyone is complaining about the reversed grip on the snares in 96 & 98, check out the lower picture in 97 of the Baritone fingering with his left hand. they did a lot of those reverse images on the covers.

That 1997 "braid artwork in the bottom left makes me think someone was expecting garfield to win that year...

My favorite artwork is still 1979. (I wish I had the ability to scan for you...)
