They were 2nd in Brass in 86 behind what I consider to be the best BD hornline (neck and neck with 88). They had one of the hottest bass lines of all time and the writing was very progressive and underappreciated. No lack of love, but among these other corps...there are better-rounded 5th and 6th place corps in more recent times on this list. I'm surprised at the lukewarm placements of SCV 1998, especially considering that many here think they should have won in 1998 (were it not for a weak ending).
