zachariaswmb
I don't see why it wouldn't be. That would actually be a pretty cool use of mics if you ask me.

mr.mello
Thanks for the pic, I was wondering what a drumbone was. On that same note, are didgeridoos allowed?
Galen
Thanks for the pic, I was wondering what a drumbone was. On that same note, are didgeridoos allowed? Don't know about real ones, but in 2002, our pit in Capital Regiment made some out of PVC and used them for our show that year.

Michael Boo
Thanks for the pic, I was wondering what a drumbone was. On that same note, are didgeridoos allowed? The name is a combination of "drum" (because it's struck) and "trombone" (because the pipes are made longer and shorter, like a trombone slide). Google "drumbone" and you'll find a surprising amount of info on them, including how to build them.
drumcat
Didn't SCV use them in 94?
Michael Boo
Didn't SCV use them in 94? Those weren't drumbones in that the pipes were not lengthened and shortened to change pitch. They were just tubes played with something that looked sort of like ping-pong paddles to give a "foom-foom" effect during parts of the "Not the Nutcracker."
