X DM
Some of the best all time soloists are, in my opinion, found over the years in DCA. But in DCI here are a few of mine: Kevin Creasey, Glassmen, Flugelhorn, 2001 Jim Centorino BAC Sop, 70'S Barbara Maroney, Mello, 83-84 Cadets Jon Schipper, Madison, sop, 90's Jerry Noonan, North Star, sop,'80 Jeff Kievet, Muchachos, sop,'74 Bonnie Ott, mello, BD, 70's Jim Brady, Bridgemen, sop, '77 any of the BD sops from the 80's Jim Metzger, Madison, sop, '75 Edited May 29, 2007 by X DM
84BDsop
- All the soloists in 2005 San Fransisco Renegades (DCA), especially the mellophone player that did the 30 second lip trill! Ahhh....that would be DCP's own "Randomnoise" Chris Nalls....inventor or the "infinitrill"!
93Bluecoat
Without a doubt, Jeff Wilt, Bluecoats Sop soloist '86-'89, hands down the guy that gave the Bluecoats their identity(he's the guy in my avtar here to the left). Soultrain, Spirit of Atlanta 1988 The red headed sop soloist with Spirit of Atlanta from '85-'86 (maybe '87 too....someone from Spirit help me out here). All of the soloists from the '88 Blue Devils, smooth as silk and confident. DW Edited May 29, 2007 by 93Bluecoat
bandcampkid
This is extremely easy--Kevin Creasey (sp?), Glassmen '01-'02 flugel soloist. Yup! I'm right there with you on that one.

It's hard to believe it's been two decades.
dcf06
The BD sqeeker from the 80s. i dont remember the year I want to say 87 but I am sure I am wrong. It was a good solo when it was right but it was interesting as sqeeks.
cire
Dan Halpern - 89 Blue Devils - Apart from the one frack on Finals night, he was superb. i think all in all for a full solo.. thats got my vote. - The trumpet solo in the 2002 Blue Devils ballad where he turns backfield right before nailing the high note! i believe that was jeff lynn (97-02)
Lance
When these threads come up, I always bring up the same guy. The recurring baritone soloist throughout BD 93.
