skajerk
That's why I wish SCV would to two run-throughs per show. One to watch the corps and one to watch the cymbal line.

randomnoise
The SCV Cymbal section is an extremely hard working group. They have been practicing every time I have gone to the Hall for Alumni rehearsal. They are the epitome of the core values of the Santa Clara Vanguard. At the indoor concert before the Concord Show, the corps made an arc formation. In the center of the arc? The Cymbal line.
PeeWee
I can't imagine how horrible it'd be were that to go wrong It did at least once. That cymbal line move is called "The Viper" and SCV's been doing it since 1988. In 1989, at the Pittsburgh show(?), the center cymbal apparently didn't jump high enough or on cue, got his leg hit, and spent the remainder of the show lying down under the marimba! Ryan H. Turner
Come on John--you can't expect little Division III corps to get a word. Pffffffffft.
