This was the history of my school band as well. During the 2nd quarter the stadium will slowly fill up. After the bands halftime show, the place was a ghost town. Our football team was not very good.

Molly Pitcher ? I recall her. She decided to date Rosin Bagg instead of me. I never even got to 3rd base after that with Molly.

I had a friend ask me why she was not able to find and order DVDs for the 2015 DCI World Championships. I asked DCI about their latest status and Kathy from merchandising stated that they expect to have the licensing issue resolved by mid-November (fingers crossed). This licensing has affected all the organizations when it comes to DCI, DCA, WGI, and I believe USBands. This is why no on-demand streaming and a major delay on audio and video products. I personally do not see a major shift from physical products since most of the organizations offer blu-ray quality. I am not sure (correct me if I am wrong) but you cannot burn your own blu-ray DVDs too easily. It is possible, just not easily done. So I guess if DCI gets the licensing issue resolved will have a ripple effect.

In the earliest performances beginning with the one on the streets of Allentown... there was no money... but from day one of charging admission like Andy said almost 100% of the funds went to the alumni corps... so effectively "Grumpy" if you're trying to make out like DCA refused to pay the alumni corps... you're simply wrong... Never was there a charge for an Alumni contest when almost all of the gate didn't go back to the corps... Yes, I was one of those running the show...

Seems like Yamaha horns work pretty well for some very good corps. What was it, four of the top six last year?

The Yamaha Xeno line of horns are amazing and super consistent from horn to horn. Almost too fantastic for me to want to use it outside hahahaha. In all honesty its whomever gives you the best possible deal on a set of gear. So you can change the name of the corps in that sentence, or the brand...etc and it always sounds the same. You're not going to hear a corps advertise "We were really going for a mediocre sound, so we're proud to feature (insert brand) of instruments in our quest for mediocrity." I don't like the Kanstul baris. And to be honest, the quality of King went down a little with the merger. But then nothing plays as well as my King 2B from 1965. You should be impressed if someone decides on using Andalucia's line of Bb "bugles". Those I'm intrigued by and am hoping someone uses these soon. But really, I'm all for anyone using a line that's not System Blue to keep a monopoly from happening.
