  2. come to think of it, because no streaming or dvd, no cameras
  3. with all (ok, some) of the hype about the new scoreboard screen, they never used it this weekend
  4. Govies are going to China soon after this wknd. they are putting on an exhibition of some version of their show at minis
  5. http://www.bing.com/images/search?q=garbage+plate&id=18F6297D89D4F5294148AC57E1D8238F2898FCFB&FORM=IQFRBA pic of garbage plate
  6. ... and the hot sauce in this part of the country is a meat hot sauce - sorta like a thin beanless chili (cringed at that description; closest I could come up with)
  7. http://www.margiosdiner.com/ could be this one, but there are 2 or 3 on that strip of Dewey Av (you might not recognize the name; changed hands recently)
  8. the original Nick Tahou's on Main closes at 8pm. as Tom pointed out, the best alternative is SteveT's on Lyell, just W of 390, altho' most any diner/burger place in town sells their version
  9. where was the practice site and what kind of food/restaurant?
  10. current 10-day https://weather.com/weather/tenday/l/USNY1232:1:US
  11. just curious, and can't come up with - who is the MCL referred to? doesn't seem to be anyone fitting those initials in the ensuing lists
  12. there's not much ado before they get started. 1st corps prolly by 6, maybe earlier. DCA's been pretty on schedule of late; there's a 10pm noise curfew. and the drive from Watkins Glen may be 90mins, but how long to actually get moving on the road? only one road (NY14) out of there to the north
  13. obviously, most would want to go there for their ribs, or other BBQ meat, but if you are with several folks, or have room for more, I highly recommend a Mac&Cheese mixed w/chili dish they have. I've never had anything like it before
  14. food pretty much the same at both, with maybe a slight edge to Jefferson. that one definitely has the better atmosphere, with music most nights. IIRC, the night of last yrs finals someone drumcorps friendly was playing there - Al Chez? Joey Pero? The Edge? I forget
  15. yeeha - get to actually travel again for drumcorps
  16. hmm... had to search what you were referring to. my bookmark takes me to this forum. never seen that page
  17. heh - saw a (female) member demonstrate that once in ROC, after, I assume, a bit of "celebrating"
  18. trying to decide on a witty Fran-reference comment, but.... guess it goes without saying - or I'm not that witty - heh
  19. ok, but what about regular auditors (as opposed to special)? don't they just pull names out of a hat? if your number's up...
  20. I remember before the 35-rule thing, I actually saw a corps with FOUR horns. I remember thinking to myself if that formation was a circle or square - lol
