  1. Pretty sure using your friend's version or installing it on your machine is a violation of the user agreement.
  2. Located in North NJ. 5 Dynasty BD Stands, 2 Dynasty Tenor Stands. Stands may need some new nuts/t-bolts (whatever you want to call them) Tenor stand needs a replacement bar which holds up the front of the tenors. All of these missing parts are available by contacting Dynasty directly. The stands are perfectly useable in their current condition. Despite missing minor parts, they work fine. New stands go for 150 a piece. I'm looking for 75/stand. PM or email - czpercussion@mac.com
  3. Looking sell a cymbal of mine... a Zildjian 21" K Custom Hybrid Ride. Nothing wrong with it, just not that big a fan of it. I keep going back to my old trustworthy K Custom ride, so this boy needs a new home. $200 is what I'm looking for. I would love to do a face to face transaction as opposed to shipping it. czpercussion at mac dot com if you're interested Pictures available tomorrow (it's at the studio now)
  4. Stroke out your rolls. Rope tension drums aren't exactly meant for bouncing a bunch.
  5. Check out the Zildjian XS20s. They're not an HHX or AA, but they sound REALLY good. One of my students got a set and they sound great for what he paid.
  6. I'll second the pearl recommendation. Great freakin' stand.
  7. Gambal Mallets. I've got a stockpile I keep hidden away (and add on to when I see them on ebay).
  8. I've thought of that. But I'm fairly certain I used 80% of the chimes in the show!
  9. Sorry... looking to construct a whole stand, not just new legs.
  10. I've got a Chime Stand in serious need of a replacement. I've also got some very handy band parents. Does anyone have any plans or has anyone built one themselves?
  11. That's right Vic. I wouldn't have the chops I do now without the Fife and Drum background. It has helped all aspects of my percussion playing.
  12. Wow, I usually worry about cleaning my snares. I never had to worry about cleaning chimes! badum ching
  13. Just looking for a pair for Saturday still.
  14. Would prefer seats between the 40s/45s and closer to the field. I can paypal or meet you in the NWNJ/NEPA area. czpercussion at mac dot com or pm on here.
  15. Subject Says it All. I've got an extra case I'm looking to get rid of. If you're interested, shoot me an email. Would prefer to meet since shipping it will be a pain and costly.
  16. That's like going to McDonalds and complaining to the management that their food is too fatty. And asking them why they're trying to kill off their audience with fatty food. By your logic, complaining to the managers of my local franchise will help improve the food quality.
  17. If you have never EVER read drum music, get a copy of Fresh Approach to the Snare Drum and work your way through it.
  18. Basic idea is this... -All 3 corps perform and are judged -The programs are explained by staff/directors to the audience -The 3 shows are performed a second time and also judged -Scores are combined and averaged to find the winner of the evening -A local youth drumline group will perform along with encores from all Corps as well.
  19. THATS the other book I was thinking of. I gave my students a copy of that book and DVD and in one week they knew everything. I literally didn't teach them a thing thanks to this book!
  20. I know it's an odd request. I am looking for an early to mid-90s era Premier BD in the 30" or 32" sizes. Color does not matter, as it's going to be stripped. czpercussion at mac dot com is the email or send me a pm on here Thanks
  21. Umm... ...are you just selling the drums alone? Because... http://band-orchestra.musiciansfriend.com/...ELAID=268429875 You can get them brand new for 30 dollars less here.
  22. There's a number of great books/resources out there. http://www.americandrum.com/catalog/access...deo_AHCTMC.html This is a great one I use. There is another one out there I can't think of. But the one above, Jeff's video, I gave to my students one week and they came back the next week able to execute just about everything. As far as notation goes, it depends on your preference and the program you're using. For example, there are specific markings applied to different notes if you're using VDL2.5. Personally, I do the following... Crash - Accent Choke - Stacatto Sizzle - Open (o) HH Closed HH - the (+) closed HH ...and use my own notation. I also make a note below each one (Cr...Ck...Siz...HH... etc).
