  1. bssop97, thank you in advance for keeping us posted. Can you give us a Willard Scott look at the weather? Seems that heat is winning the battle in Kansas. Go Blooooooo! Scott Sines Allaina's Dad
  2. Scores!!!! Place Corps Score DIVISION I 1 The Cavaliers 87.200 2 The Cadets 85.450 3 Santa Clara Vanguard 82.500 4 Blue Knights 81.100 5 Crossmen 75.350 6 Seattle Cascades 65.850 I realize that we are not looking at head to head scores (Circleville, Louisville, and Great Bend) but this picture sures does become quite interesting for that 2-6 block of corps.
  3. Great review, I always appreciate the review that is able to avoid reflecting corps bias (the reason you will never see this Bluecoat homer post a true review). I spoke to my daughter late in the evening and she said that last night's encore was an emotional explosion for the corps. She was amazed at the crowd reaction and said that the corps fed off of it. I was wondering if you stayed for the encore and if so what did you think? Scott Sines Allaina's Dad Bluecoat Trumpet 05-06
  4. (DCI) 2006 Special Edition Soaring Sounds, Centerville, OH July 16, 2006 Place Corps Score DIVISION I 1 Bluecoats 87.050 2 Madison Scouts 82.750 3 Boston Crusaders 81.350 4 The Magic 65.700 5 Pioneer 61.500 DIVISION II 1 Memphis Sound 73.100 Exhibition Cincinnati Tradition, Sr. Exh.
  5. Sarcasm to follow....... Brandon, are you suggesting that SCV will be competing in the tier with Cavies and Cadets at the 1-3 level or in the 5-8 level? Are you going to get a chance to see Cap Reg anytime soon? Scott Allaina's Dad
  6. Hey Gorgo, glad you and the misses were able to get out and enjoy the show, an awesome show it must have been. Hope the misses gets to feeling better. Allaina said she had a cheering section, not sure if she had other fans in attendance. I will hit her with a pint of Ice Cream for ya and that should make all the things in the world just great. Not that marching with one of the world's greatest marching organizations isn't great but even that gets better with some Butter Pecan. I'll try to keep you abreast of her exploits. Thanks for the quick thoughts on the performance tonight sure wish we could have been there. Dublin on Wednesday can't wait now. Scott
  7. Evan, Insightful, I saw the corps at the housing site in Mason, Ohio just yesterday and I would have to agree with the rehearsal comment. This corps knows the challenge that has been presented to them and they are approaching it with a champion's mentality. My wife and I went into the morning expecting to hear comments in retrospect on the Indy performance from the evening before, and found out that we were the only two people there openly discussing Indy, while everyone from design staff, throughout the membership was focused on the task ahead. Coats spent the morning in a lengthy visual block before breaking for lunch, and then returned for a short period of time that was scheduled as sectional time to look a little longer at the visual production. I could only take in a portion of the evening ensemble where they were adding effect, and dressing the visual program throughout. Changes are coming, but according to the design team not until they "work 100% of the time". The evening wrapped with fireworks from the nearby Kings Island Theme Park. Sorry to ramble, Go Blue! 8. given enough time I think we could find this type of "irregularity" on any given sheet. Seems to me thats why these kids do this over and over again until a day in August where we all come together to decide, just who was right all along. Proud of my Bluecoat daughter.
  9. I used the vanguard feed intended for mac users with my XP and had little problem from Madison on to the scores. I only wish I had thought to try it for the Bluecoats. Sorry if some of the decimals are not correct hard to listen to the feed and type accurately.
  10. Carolina Crown 79.525 Bluecoats 82.35 Cadets 83.375
  11. Crossmen 74.70 Glassmen 77.475 Madison Scouts 78.175
  12. Capital 70.675 Blue Stars 72.375 Colts 74.05
  13. Pioneer 60.225 The Magic 64.45 Southwind 68.70
  14. Very well worded. I too agree that the coverage was far from meeting the expectations of most subscribers. If Season Pass is to be a year long subscription service, I have to believe that they must dedicate manpower to it year round. I can only hope that planning is in the works for Madison '06 and all of the issues that have, or will come to light through suggestions like yours will be addressed in a timely manner. In response to BD Box Blog from last night, the folks at BD made an effort to thank DCI for the cooperative efforts to make the broadcast possible, I think many of us would be singing a different tune about Season Pass if that blog had been done under a DCI label and not just that of the Blue Devils. I said last night and I will say again, if I had to do it over again I would have given my money to BD for the coverage they provided. Just my thoughts.
  15. Looking at your profile to the left of your post reflects that you have made no monetary payment in exchange for the services of DCP. Why would anybody who hasn't paid for a service need to complain. I don't get upset when Google tells me that there are no matches for my search, because it's FREE Confused and Cheated Unite!
  16. The only thing that could make the cadets show more confusing to me is to watch it from the backside of the door I am in another dimension................................... Confused and Cheated..........Thanks Hoppy and DCI. Scott
  17. This from the very beginning of the BD Blog "Special Thanks to our friends and partners at DCI.org for making this joint 2005 Championships Coverage a reality." If this is joint venture then these guys with BD are working with a handicap (nothing derogatory), they have not dropped the ball at all tonight. Great coverage, if I could get my $39 back I think I would donate it to BD Scott
  18. Backfield view of the Cavies show is like watching from the ivy at Wrigley........... Wake me up for the seventh inning stretch. Scott
  19. two words for DCI "substantial compliance" If I could only rethink the decision to get on board with this crap.
  20. If DCI wasn't working with 20 year old cameras and computers we would know, however they are and we don't know. Most of us are following the best coverage available at the BD Blog
  21. Clipped from Season Pass Page: "The DCI Cam capturing tonight’s performances is malfunctioning – we had been capturing streams from the television broadcast and that function is not working this evening. DCI apologizes for the inconvenience and is working to ensure that replacement video will appear on the Season Pass later this week." Thanks DCI! <**> I think I could have taken my $39, and gone to Foxboro, parked the car, and bought a T-Shirt. Bluecoats T Shirt of Course. Scott
  22. Cadets must have had Amp issues to fall to 5th, also I think Bluecoats have Madison's number tonight.
  23. And I always thought that you needed two people to carry on a conversation, you just managed to respond to yourself twice. b**bs Not that I give a hoot about the ability to amp or not, just commenting on the man's state of mind. FWIW
  24. That backfield view makes me feel like I'm in a different dimension. Just read Hopkin's Blog do you think he's worried about the storms and how they will impact the ability to amplify?
