  1. My first year marching was 1966. Marched DCI FROM 1972-1974. Guess you do understand DRUMCORPS HISTORY. I was wrong.
  2. Hoping that no one WILL BE BANNED OR CALLED A FLAMMER, I am playing the devil's advocate. Would this proposal include groups taking the name of a defunct corps? Just a thought. No offense to anyone.
  3. Thanks Dan. The St.Paul Scouts also played "Comin Home Baby" and two BS&T tunes: "John The Baptist" and "Cowboys And Indians" in 72. Mike
  4. Wasn't John Hoekstra DM for the Kilts in 2001? Interesting choice.

  6. A poster who wishes the Kilties the best in '08.
  7. Icy roads in the Chicago area. My daughter lives by Milwaukee and said the roads were ###### on Sat day and night. Great forecasting!!!!! The lines are about bikinis and shorts-shows a lot of class.
  8. My old drumcorps friend is an alumnus of MBI. MBI sings "For All We Know" after each rehersal and performance according to him. I have heard it also. Very moving. Mike
  9. Back to the future ????? Correct me, but weren't some of these guys with Stewart in the 90's?
  10. Why did Stewart take the Kilties all age corps directorship?
  11. This thread is more than two years old, but my favorite Racine corps was the Spirit of 76(nee Boys Of 76).
  12. Not on the same subject but still noteworthy. Any info on the bus accident in 1970(?) involving Norwood Park? Also, anyone remember the accident at a plane hangar which involved the Des Plaines Vanguard? I remember reading about these tragic events.
  13. I started in 1967. My best years were from 1972-1974 when I marched with my future wife now ex. Sorry for the confusion.
  14. I read your profile. 3 years experience. It would do you good to understand drumcorps history. Just a suggestion. Mike

  16. Now, not wearing drawers under a Kilt would be interesting to say the least.
  17. Can't put a cost on it. I have met some wonderful people and still keep in contact with some to this day.Renewed our friendships. Met my ex wife in corps, my two kids marched corps also. Been to many places in the US and Canada which without drumcorps would have been impossible.
