    In 1982 I marched with a corps that did not have real strong fiscal responsibility. If you were one of the last people in the food line for a meal, you didnt eat! This happened on a regular basis most of the tour. It got so bad that when my parents met the corps on the road they went out to the grocery store and bought a lot of food for the corps. Not sure how much they spent, but I know it was a lot of money for two teachers.

    I see Phantom 3rd or 4th and Bluecoats finishing 4th or 5th. Phantom has a better show that will take them to the end of the season in a strong fashion.

    First time I saw the Madison Scouts I fell in love! I cant even begin to describe what happened to me at a very young age, but marching in the Scouts became an absolute obsession with me. It took me nine years to make that dream come true, but I will never forget my time with the corps and magic of the Madison Scouts!!!!

    DCI and drum corps missed their opportunity for something like this to happen in the mid 80s when it was the second biggest youth past time next to baseball. Imagine more kids were doing corps back then than football, basketball, video games, etc...!!!!!!!!

    I remember hearing about this. I think the corps that was in 7th, the next year they would be out of finals. I remember hearing about this in the 80s. Crossmen were 7 th 1982 and then missed finals in 1983.
