  1. The cult following is here: http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/inde...howtopic=121228
  2. Well, I do not know the answer to that. I do know that we met at the Star hall, used their drums and rode to Florida on their busses. It wouldn't surprise me if Bill funded the entire thing. Did I mention that Star's squads were freakin' heavy?
  3. NO!!!! Work has Youtube blocked! Now I have to wait until I get home to watch.
  4. I can't answer for this one in particular, but I was in the 1988 DCM All-Star corps that went to the Orange Bowl parade for '88/'89. The corps was made up of members from the Midwest corps. Age outs were welcome, as I was one of them. We were just chosen by the corps. I believe each corps was notified what instrument/player they were to supply, and for us one was a tenor player. I was actually the third choice, the other two guys couldn't so it. Their loss. That's how I remember it anyway. It was nice to put that uniform on one last time after I aged out. What sucked was carrying those freakin' heavy Star of Indiana squads.
  5. You know, I'm going with 1986 as my favorite show. It was my first year and you just can't beat Salt Peanuts as the drum solo.
  6. Seriously? You just made my day. Thanks! (By the way, I 100% agree with your first statement.) Yeah, Jeff Wilt (sop soloist) was the man. I don't know how we were the lucky ones to land him.
  7. Of course, how could I have forgotten that was the uniform. Yeah, I got mixed feelings about that uniform. Before I even read your post I saw the picture and knew that was Hord on the right. That picture was from '91, right? He just sent me a message through Corpsdata a couple weeks ago. Are those pop drums (or whatever you kids are calling them these days) on those tenors? They just look like flat pieces of something. I don't see a shell.
  8. I actually liked our '87 show better than '88. Probably mainly because it was the second year in a row with the same five tenor players. And in '88 I really didn't particularly like playing the same four counts of music over and over again for nearly the entire second song. But I did like Autumn Leaves better at the end of the show in '88. Could someone post a picture of the '90/'91 uniforms? I don't remember what they look like and the Bluecoats' website doesn't have picture from those years.
  9. Okay then... 1974 - 26th 1975 - 4th Still better than the 27 jump mentioned earlier.
  10. What about Bridgemen? 1974 - 26th 1975 - nothing 1976 - 6th
  11. Almost every morning at work I go to the cafeteria (which is like a mile away) and get a cup of hot tea and do the same thing. Never spill a drop, and it's usually filled to the rim.
  12. Actually the more I think about this, maybe I could get something like this started around here. Could you PM me some info on how/what to do?
  13. Why aren't you in Eastern Ohio? I'd do this in a heartbeat if it were close enough.
  14. I totally get why you would give up on drum corps and walk away from it. I just don't get why you would get rid of all the stuff from when you did like it. I would think that would be all the more reason to keep that stuff, because you don't like the current state of drum corps. Just my opinion.
  15. Bluecoats 2009 show poster is on sale. Buy one now! https://bluecoats.com/store/item_detail.asp...d=ImaginePoster
  16. So if I go to ebay and type "Drum Corps International" in the search, your stuff will come up? I did that and got 17 items and 12 items in ebay stores. Just out of curiosity, even if you've given up on drum corps, why would that cause you to get rid of everything you have? I would think that you would want to hold on to all the stuff that is what you liked about drum corps. Also, do you have anything that has the Bluecoats 1986 multi-camera show on it?
  17. That chick must be a giant! (Yikes, this was my 666th post.)
  18. If I were good enough, I would kill to march SCV.
  19. When I was in high school, we started drumline rehearsals in January of the prior year. Usually once a week until school let out. Unfortunately I didn't have a posse of chicks worshipping me.
