  1. TBH, I felt a little let down at BG. I was much more entertained by Bluecoats. Besides, Ohio folks love their home corps :) That being said Crown's show is easily in my top 3 this year. So difficult, and performed with such finesse. Don't get me started on Fanfare
  2. Sent through the Fan Network support link: http://wgi.thefannetwork.org/support/ I am extremely disappointed in WGI and Fantasia's decision to withhold the video from the Riverside, CA regional on 2/25/12. The show is presented live to many people every weekend, yet a paying subscriber to this service (who presumably would be shown video from every guard at every WGI regional) is unable to see the show. I sincerely hope that this decision is reconsidered. Thank you, [My Name]
  3. I just saw Arcadia on Fan Network and thought, "Is that Emerald Marquis out there?"
  4. Here's how I feel though, I'm almost 23 years old, and am a paying member for the fan network service. I can handle disturbing imagery, especially if I'm paying for access to the service. Maybe they should age-check the subscribers?
  5. I believe Alicia Keys' version is called Empire State of Mind (Part 2) Broken Down
  6. Actually, the Scouts have been holding their camps and spring training in Bloomington, Indiana for the past 2 years. I don't see that ending next year either. Generally speaking, wherever you go, you'll find other people driving, and can likely carpool.
  7. "On behalf of the Madison Scouts I wish all in Scoutland a wonderful, safe and joyful Christmas and holiday season. I'm also please to announce "Oh What Beautiful Morning" as the second number in our 2011 production. We will be announcing the show title along with the rest of the music at the January camp. My Best, -jm"
  8. I hate you. Choice made. Just kidding. -- Back on topic, I doubt it will affect anything, like you said the activity is becoming very non-local. I wonder how many people marched with us last year who hailed from the Great State of Hell Wyoming? Couldn't have been more than 10. In fact, I would argue we had more people from Colorado than Wyoming.
  9. Actually, maybe they could arrange parts of the Film Scores as well, May It Be could be the ballad. (iHeart Enya)
  10. I'd like to see SCV or Cadets do some of Van Der Roost's music (not Stonehedge, but the LOTR pieces specifically come to mind)
  11. YES (except for SCV, maybe I just don't care for Le Coq d'Or) Maybe SCV could do some Glass or Terry Riley's Cadenza on the Night Plain. (I just wanna see them go back to the minimalism of the early 2000's)
  12. Well then, apologies. Your original post just seemed "Well, who cares about Troop, Phantom got below a 90" My idiocy is due to lack of oxygen in the nosebleed seats, I promise :)
  13. Um, sorry, maybe you meant a different thread, but that is not related AT ALL to this one. - Thanks :) -------------- On to Troop: [preface: I marched Troop Guard '08] Fantastic job out there, oh and Dave, Michelle came back? She's a sweetheart. Guardguy: I would have been out there this summer, but I was being a little responsible with my life and taking some summer classes (family couldn't help me bear the $$burden of marching)
