Stadium DCI Position Corps Score DIVISION I 1 Bluecoats 83.700 2 Blue Devils 83.500 3 The Cavaliers 82.700 4 Glassmen 74.100 5 Troopers 69.100 6 Seattle Cascades 68.600 DIVISION III 1 Memphis Sound 68.700 2 Revolution 60.850
  2. I would hardly call Star 90 a 'heartbreaking defeat'
  3. Given only what I saw from the Annapolis webcast, I think they need to add some GE vis especially after the opener "Storm," and their theme needs to become a little bit more transparent. I don't know if I get it. But they are definitely in the mix. The hornline is Star reincarnated and the drumline ain't no slouches.
  4. Congratulations to Carolina Crown. Tonight was their first win over the Cavaliers in history. The only corps they have not beaten is now Blue Devils.
  5. Nope for Phantom - Crown beat last year at DCI Southwest.
  6. History is made tonight? First victory for Crown over Cavies and Phantom? Can anyone confirm?
  7. WOW!!! 1 Carolina Crown 77.500 2 The Cavaliers 77.100 3 Phantom Regiment 76.300 4 Blue Stars 70.400 5 Boston Crusaders 70.100 6 Glassmen 67.500 7 Colts 65.600 8 Spirit 64.500
  8. OK, evidently I was wrong - Crown was last in Normal tonight and was the encore as well. Shouldn't be a problem anyway - all of us were able to do two runs in a row back in the day, right?
  9. Pinwiz: Hmog Crown I can't wait to see the show in August #drumcorps
  10. I'm sure they plan it so that the last corps is never the encorps. I would assume on Finals night, since it is a full retreat and all, it will be the "old way."
  11. Pinwiz's last five updates: That's two corpws w/o timpani. As a timp fan I got issues... #drumcorps Glassmen... A step down in tempo/difficulty from last year. Their Finals spot is not assured, but they could easily retain. #drumcorps Wow. Flove BAC. First show I've loved of theirs in... 6 years? #drumcorps Blue Stars... Justify the theme to me. I need to see it again but it doesn't rise above Generic WW2 Show #35 #drumcorps Phantom's show is Faust 2: Electric Boogaloo. That's not a bad thing. #drumcorps
  12. Not to burst anyone's bubble, but Annapolis on demand was not up until the next morning. I wouldn't stay up all night waiting.
  13. Pinwiz likes Spirit: Oh yeah. Spirit. A definite step up, more interesting use of the new electronics, in the hunt without seeing everyone else #drumcorps
  14. To me it makes all the sense in the world. Keeps people from sitting and waiting (and perhaps leaving) before encores. Gets the corps in the lot and on the road more quickly. Win win win.
  15. Kevin is obviously stunned into silence by the incredible power of INT.
  16. C'est la vie - Such is life C'est la guerre - Such is war
  17. Other reports from the Burgh say no Z-pull yet.
  18. If it was directed to me, I take it back. I was trying to go for sarcasm (that many people come on DCP and think they could express 'Crossmen' better or arrange or write better stuff), and it obviously didn't work. Sorry for any offense given.
  19. To continue to have fun with this, I would argue against nudity not just from the "decency" perspective but the "expression" perspective. It's a cop out to show it all. The point of a costume or uniform is to draw the imagination, both away from and toward the mere fact of the performer's bodies. It would be a sin against creativity itself to titillate only by nudity. It's kind of like rules allowing only certain instrumentation, which force the creators and performers to be as creative as they can be within a certain context, brass, struck percussion...um... ...oh well, forget it.
  20. 1. I don't support woodwinds in the competitive activity. 2. That having been said, did anyone die in 89 when Phantom played Elsa's with the Kansas City Symphony?
